Spam Bot List for IPB

Description: Have you wondered why IPB has the option to make
members enter a random 6 digit code while registering? It is to keep
"spam bots" from registering. The purpose of spam bots are to well,
spam your forum. I recommend you enable this option to enter
the random six digit code, but you can also use this list to detect,
display, and log activities on spam bots on your forums.

Description: This list contains many types of bots including
Link Checkers, Link Verifiers, Bookmark Checkers, Site Monitoring
bots, and Domain Checkers. Basically what all these bots will check
the integrity of your site and links - looking for dead links. Tools
that will verify if links in peoples Favorites are online, site
monitoring tools monitoring uptime/downtime, and bots that will
check to see if your domain is taken. These bots are often manually
sent to your site or possibly have been paid to monitor your site.
